Day 1: Fez to Chefchaouen – Journey to the Blue Pearl

Your Moroccan adventure begins with a scenic drive from the cultural capital of Fez to the breathtaking mountain town of Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco. Tucked into the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-washed buildings, serene atmosphere, and friendly locals.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Midelt

Walk among impressive ruins, including mosaics, basilicas, and triumphal arches, surrounded by rolling countryside.

Day 3: Midelt to Merzouga – Into the Heart of the Sahara

Today’s journey takes you through ever-changing landscapes—from cedar forests and mountain passes to desert plains—as you head deeper into the south. After crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, descend toward the edge of the Sahara Desert and arrive in Merzouga, a gateway to the iconic Erg Chebbi sand dunes.

In the afternoon, mount a camel for a sunset trek into the dunes, where golden sands stretch endlessly in every direction. Arrive at a luxury desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional tea and dinner around the campfire. Enjoy Berber music under the stars, and spend the night in a comfortable tent with all amenities.

Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up to a stunning sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Depart Merzouga and travel west through the enchanting Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley known for its lush palm groves, kasbahs, and desert villages.

Continue to Ouarzazate, often dubbed the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its numerous film studios and cinematic desert landscapes. Explore the city’s lively souks or visit one of its famous studios where films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were shot.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Day 6: Marrakech – Explore the Red City

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Marrakech, rich in history, color, and energy. Visit architectural gems such as the Koutoubia Mosque, the ornate Bahia Palace, and the peaceful Majorelle Gardens. Dive into the labyrinth of the souks, where you’ll find spices, textiles, pottery, and much more.

Spend your evening sampling traditional cuisine at a local restaurant or enjoying mint tea on a rooftop terrace.

Day 7: Marrakech to Essaouira – Atlantic Escape

After breakfast, travel to the Atlantic coast to reach the relaxed and artistic city of Essaouira
