Day 1: Journey from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges

Day 2: From the Canyons to the Sands of Merzouga
After breakfast, set off for the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges, where towering limestone walls rise dramatically on either side of a crystal-clear river. Take time to explore this natural wonder and stroll among the palms and small villages that hug the canyon walls.
From here, the landscape begins to shift as we journey deeper into the desert. Pass through traditional towns like Tinjdad and Erfoud, known for fossils and local culture, before reaching the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga.
In the afternoon, meet your camels and begin a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi—an unforgettable ride into the heart of the desert. As the sun dips low, casting long shadows on the sands, you’ll arrive at your desert camp, where warm hospitality awaits.
Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under a sky filled with stars, followed by an evening of Berber music, storytelling, and drumming around the fire. Fall asleep in a traditional tent, surrounded by the peaceful silence of the desert.
Day 3: Sunrise in the Sahara & Journey through the Draâ Valley
Rise early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise, as golden light washes over the endless dunes—an unforgettable start to your day. After a light breakfast at the desert camp, ride your camel back to Merzouga, taking in the quiet beauty of the morning desert.
Upon arrival, enjoy time to freshen up and relax at a nearby hotel before hitting the road once more. Your route winds through the dramatic landscapes of southern Morocco, passing small desert towns and wide-open vistas.
One of the highlights of the day is the scenic Draâ Valley, home to one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Here, the landscape shifts to a lush ribbon of date palms, mud-brick kasbahs, and peaceful Berber villages—offering a striking contrast to the arid surroundings.
By late afternoon, arrive in the quiet desert city of Ouarzazate, often called the “doorway to the desert.” This peaceful stop offers time to unwind and reflect as your Moroccan adventure continues.
Day 4: From Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou & the High Atlas
After breakfast in Ouarzazate, begin your day with a visit to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a striking hilltop ksar made entirely of earth and clay. This historic village, with its maze-like alleys and fortress-like kasbahs, has stood for centuries and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk among its ancient walls and soak in the atmosphere that has inspired countless filmmakers over the years.
From Ait Ben Haddou, we begin our scenic drive back to Marrakech, passing once more through the rugged beauty of the High Atlas Mountains.
