7-day trip from Marrakech to the desert

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech and be warmly welcomed with a transfer to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, explore the vibrant Jamaa el Fna square, where street performers, food stalls, and traditional charm await. 

Rest up for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Depart after breakfast to cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. 

Stop at the ancient fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique earthen architecture. 

Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and Cinema Museum. 

Overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Alnif – Merzouga

Begin your journey into the south, passing through the scenic Draa Valley and the oasis town of Agdz. 

Drive through the desert landscapes of Alnif and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga. 

Hop on a camel for a trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes and enjoy a desert sunset.

 Spend the night in a Berber-style camp under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Exploration

Spend the day discovering Merzouga and its surroundings. 

Visit a desert oasis and the village of Khamlia, where you’ll experience traditional Gnaoua music. 

Explore local markets and the historical town of Rissani. 

Return to the camp for another camel ride, dinner, and cultural entertainment under the night sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

Catch a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before heading back to Merzouga by camel. 

Continue to Erfoud to see fossil workshops, then drive to the spectacular Todra Gorges, with its dramatic cliffs and lush palm groves. 

Finish the day in the Dades Valley, where you’ll dine and relax at a charming guesthouse.

Day 6: Dades – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Travel through the Valley of Roses and the oasis of Skoura, famous for its kasbahs and palm groves. 

Enjoy stops along the way before returning to Ouarzazate for a brief visit. 

Cross the Atlas Mountains again to reach Marrakech in the evening. 

Settle into your hotel and reflect on your journey.

Day 7: Departure from Marrakech

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing morning. 

Depending on your flight time, explore the city a bit more before your transfer to the airport. 

Depart with unforgettable memories of your Moroccan desert adventure.
