8-Day Morocco Desert Adventure from Fez
Day 1: Arrival in Fez – Welcome to the Imperial City

Begin your Moroccan journey with a warm welcome at Fez Airport. You’ll be transferred to your hotel to check in and unwind.
Spend the remainder of the day exploring the historic Fez Medina, a labyrinth of lively alleys brimming with artisan workshops producing leather goods, ceramics, and traditional crafts.
Dinner and overnight stay in Fez.
Day 2: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt
After breakfast, depart Fez and journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop is Ifrane, a charming town often nicknamed the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and clean streets.
Continue to Azrou, home to ancient cedar forests and Barbary macaques.
Enjoy a scenic drive through mountain landscapes before arriving in Midelt, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 3: Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Today, travel south toward the desert. Pass through the city of Errachidia and descend into the spectacular Ziz Valley, known for its dense palm groves and dramatic gorges.
Arrive in Erfoud, a desert town famous for its fossils, before continuing to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara.
Enjoy a camel trek into the dunes, arriving at your desert camp in time for sunset. Dine under the stars and sleep in a traditional nomadic-style tent.
Day 4: Sahara Exploration – Merzouga Region
Start the day with a visit to a nearby oasis, followed by a trip to Khamlia, a village known for its unique Gnawa music tradition.
Continue your desert exploration with visits to the M’ifis fossil mines and remote Berber nomad communities.
In the late afternoon, take a camel ride deeper into the dunes to catch the mesmerizing sunset.
Spend another magical night at the desert camp with traditional music and dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Tamtatoucht

Leave the desert behind and head toward the Atlas Mountains.
Drive through Tinjdad and Tinghir, where you’ll explore the expansive Todra Valley palm grove.
Visit the dramatic Todra Gorges, with towering cliffs that are popular with climbers and nature lovers.
After a scenic break and tea stop, travel through high mountain roads to Tamtatoucht, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a mountain guesthouse or hotel.
Day 6: Tamtatoucht – Midelt via Berber Villages
Enjoy breakfast in the cool mountain air, then continue your journey through isolated Berber villages, offering a window into traditional rural life.
Admire the striking High Atlas scenery, rivers, and diverse landscapes before reaching Midelt.
Have lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 7: Midelt – Return to Fez

After breakfast, travel north back to Fez through mountain roads and cedar forests. Arrive by early afternoon, with time to relax or explore the city’s medina and souks one last time.

Day 8: Fez – Departure

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s mountains, desert, and cultural heartlands.
