10-Day Grand Morocco Desert Adventure
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival in Casablanca, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day unwinding or exploring this bustling coastal city at your own pace. Optional visits include the seaside Corniche or a stroll through the local markets. Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 2: Casablanca – Marrakech
In the morning, visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, beautifully perched above the Atlantic Ocean. After exploring Casablanca’s medina and key sites, journey inland to the vibrant city of Marrakech.
Upon arrival, enjoy free time in Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, soaking in the atmosphere and perhaps sipping mint tea on a rooftop terrace. Overnight stay in a traditional riad in the medina.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura – Dades Gorges

After breakfast, depart for the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the iconic fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and film location for many major productions.
Continue through Skoura Oasis, where you’ll see the historic Amridil Kasbah, then head toward the Dades Valley. Marvel at the unique rock formations before settling in for dinner and an overnight stay in the Dades Gorges.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Canyon – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Begin the day with a scenic drive through Todra Gorges, with time to explore the dramatic cliffs and riverbed below. Pass through Tinejdad and arrive in Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and desert gateway atmosphere.
Reach Merzouga, where your desert adventure begins. Ride a camel into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, witness a spectacular desert sunset, and enjoy dinner around the campfire. Overnight in a luxury desert camp beneath the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Zagora – M’Hamid Desert

Wake early to enjoy sunrise over the dunes, then head to Rissani, once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Sijilmassa. Visit the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum and explore the traditional market.
Travel through the desert plains and pass through Alnif and Zagora, where you can stop at local pottery workshops. In Tamgroute, visit an ancient Koranic library and a centuries-old underground kasbah. Continue to the M’hamid region, the gateway to the vast Sahara, for dinner and an overnight stay in a luxury camp.
Day 6: M’hamid – Chegaga Dunes
Today’s journey leads deeper into the desert as you cross remote tracks and sandy landscapes toward the Erg Chegaga Dunes, among the highest and most expansive in Morocco.
Along the way, explore desert oases and enjoy lunch in a scenic palm grove. Arrive at the towering dunes of Chegaga by evening and take in a memorable sunset. Dinner and overnight in a well-equipped luxury desert camp.

Day 7: Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

Cross the dry lakebed of Lake Iriqui and continue to the desert village of Foum Zguid. From here, drive to Taznakht, a town renowned for its Berber carpet cooperatives.
Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and rest.
Overnight: Ouarzazate
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Begin the day with a visit to Taourirt Kasbah, a historic residence of local rulers, and stop by one of the nearby film studios used in many international movies.
Return to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in the afternoon. Enjoy a relaxing evening in the medina.
Overnight: Riad in Marrakech

Day 9: Exploring Marrakech

Today, enjoy a full-day guided tour of Marrakech, including:
Bahia and El Badi Palaces
Saadian Tombs
Ben Youssef Madrasa
The Majorelle Garden and Menara Garden
Spend your final evening soaking in the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna and wandering the colorful souks.
Overnight: Marrakech
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Casablanca Airport (or Marrakech Airport, if arranged) for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of Morocco’s deserts, mountains, and ancient cities.
